Xu Gong Lu is a former soldier of Emperor Qi's imperial army in the 1800's. When he returns home from a military expedition in the West, Gong Lu finds his wife murdered and his son kidnapped by an mysterious clan only know as "The Red Lotus". Gong Lu's search takes him all the way to the US where he encounters gunslingers, white supremacists, natives, and ultimately the Red Lotus clan. The Man from the North is a pulpy action-packed tale that's a homage to Shaw Brothers and Italian "Spaghetti Westerns". Welcome to the Good, The Bad, and the Wild, Wild, East!
